Iron City Power Washing was founded in 2018 by Scott Lett after recognizing a growing need for exterior cleaning while operating a handyman business. Homeowners and business owners across the Birmingham area frequently requested help with dirty siding, stained concrete, and exterior buildup that basic maintenance could not address. Seeing the demand, Scott shifted focus toward pressure washing and surface cleaning as a dedicated service.

In 2019, Scott partnered with Tyler Peppers to grow the business and expand into larger commercial projects. Together, they built Iron City Power Washing around clear scheduling, honest pricing, and taking the time needed to do each job correctly. The company became known for handling large commercial properties while continuing to serve residential homeowners throughout Birmingham, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Homewood, Mountain Brook, Trussville, and surrounding communities.

We help homeowners and commercial property owners restore the appearance of their properties by removing dirt, grime, mold, mildew, algae, and other contaminants from exterior surfaces. Scott Lett

My name is Scott Lett, most know me by Scotty. I was born and raised here in Birmingham, Alabama and grew up in Cahaba Heights. I went to Vestavia Hills High School where I received a baseball scholarship to a two year community college. I then finished up my undergrad at UAB with a degree in Business Administration and soon started working for a local ministry. In 2014, I started a new career with Alabama Power where I decided to further my education, and went back to UAB to pursue a master’s in engineering. As I was half way through the program, I was challenged to start a low risk business for a class project, which was a handyman business. However, most of my calls were for power washing and other exterior cleaning services. This soon led me to start Iron City Power Washing mid year of 2018, and in 2019, I decided to partner up with Tyler Peppers who is now my business partner.

I have a beautiful wife of 9 years named Jennifer and we have 4 beautiful children- Lauren Avery (6), Levi Scott (5), Emily Claire (3), and Carter Thomas (11 months). We currently live in Meadowbrook, Alabama. I chose the entrepreneurial life to obviously provide a great life for my family, but also to have the freedom of being home with my family, being a provider is important, but being a husband and father is more important. We are a family who loves Jesus and try our very best to honor, and we currently attend Valleydale Church.

My hobbies included: hunting, fishing, weight lifting, and college football. Roll Tide Roll!

Tyler Peppers

Tyler Peppers is one of the owners of Iron City Power Washing, Inc., a locally owned and operated pressure washing company serving Leeds, Birmingham, and the surrounding Alabama communities. Born and raised in Opelika, Alabama, Tyler attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and played collegiate football for the UAB Blazers.

His athletic background shaped the foundation of Iron City Power Washing—discipline, consistency, and a commitment to excellence. Those same principles guide how the company approaches every residential and commercial pressure washing project, from routine home cleanings to large-scale commercial properties.

Tyler lives in Leeds, Alabama, with his wife, Kelsey, their two children, and three dogs. As a husband and father, he understands firsthand the importance of maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming property. That perspective drives Iron City Power Washing’s attention to detail and care for every customer’s home or business.
